Signicat Signature – Importance of electronic signatures

Signicat webinar

John Erik Setsaas

To speed up business processes, more and more processes are done online. This is to save time and money, by not having to print and scan, or (even worse) send documents using post. There is a need to secure the document transfer between the parties, which is where electronic signatures are used. An electronically signed document contains (in most cases) information about the originator, who cannot deny having sent it. In addition will any tampering with the document be detected, which is much more difficult to detect with a paper based signature.

This webinar will consider the following topics:

  • How to add electronic signatures to text and PDF documents
  • What benefits does it provide?
  • What information does a signed document contain?
  • What are the legal perspectives of the electronic signature?

Identity Assurance – The art of knowing your customers

Kuppinger Cole webinar

John Erik Setsaas, Rob Laurence, Michael Gronager, Lory Kehoe

To conduct online business, users need to be able to identify themselves remotely and reliably. In most cases, however, it is not sufficient for the user to simply assert “I am who I say I am – believe me.” When doing digital business, you will never meet your customers face-to-face, and there is a need to establish certainty and proof of the customers’ identity.

Digital on-boarding must be simple for the user, while at the same time give the business enough information to ensure trust. This webinar will take a look at methods for digital customer on-boarding, to ensure that reasonable assurance is achieved.

In this webinar, you will learn:

  • The importance of knowing your customer for your business
  • How to define flows that help you to collect the necessary assurance data from your unknown customer
  • How to gain the required assurance of digital identities when onboarding new users and still be compliant
  • How to ensure that reasonable assurance is achieved
  • How to step up assurance levels, coming from a good assurance level to a better one

Fighting Claim Fraud with InsurTech

BrightTALK live webcast

Ina Yulo (BrightTALK), John Erik Setsaas (Signicat)

When it comes to analysing and managing insurance claims, the market still runs in a very old school manner — human intervention, lots of paperwork and phone calls. This unfortunately also poses a real threat when it comes to fraudulent claims and applications. With digital advances and the rise of InsurTech, these risks can be minimised and fraudulent applications detected way before they can do any harm.

Join this panel where we’ll discuss:

  • -How predictive analytics can help spot fraudulent applications before they can do proper damage
  • -How new technologies can help investigate and monitor specific claims
  • -The need for more transparency throughout the claiming process and the importance of identity validation
  • -Improving the customer journey by empowering the individual to report and settle claims online or through mobile devices
