Signicat Sign Portal Now Available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace

Microsoft Azure customers worldwide now gain access to Signicat Sign Portal to take advantage of the scalability, reliability and agility of Azure to drive application development and shape business strategies.

Signicat, the Trusted Digital Identity™ company, today announced the availability of Signicat Sign Portal in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. Signicat’s customers can now take advantage of the productive and trusted Azure cloud platform, with streamlined deployment and management.

The Signicat Sign Portal for Microsoft Azure meets businesses’ immediate electronic signing needs. Through the user-friendly app, businesses can manage and maintain an overview of electronic signing processes of contracts, agreements or other important documents. Businesses no longer need to use cumbersome, manual processes but can trust digital signing methods saving them both costs, paper-waste and improving operational efficiencies overall.

The Signicat Sign Portal for Microsoft Azure confirms the identity of the signer by leveraging verified digital identities (eIDs) such as BankID in Norway and Sweden, MitID in Denmark or online banking credentials in Finland. This gives businesses the security of knowing who signed the document and when. Electronic signing recipients can conveniently sign on a mobile device or PC using their existing digital identity. Alternatively, recipients can use more traditional methods such as on-screen signatures, authenticated with SMS OTP.

Signicat Sign Portal differentiates itself from other similar solutions on Azure Marketplace by supporting over 30 digital identities (eIDs) across Europe. This means that it provides the same level of trust in the signer's identity regardless of their location. The portal offers high security with both eIDAS-compliant Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) and Advanced Electronic Signature (AES). Signicat Sign Portal on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace is easy to deploy, so businesses can get started in a matter of minutes.

Additional security from protected sharing of documents

The Signicat Sign Portal was developed to be flexible enough to meet the needs of various user groups, but it has additional functionality to cater for situations when signing more confidential or sensitive documents. Secure Share is a feature that allows the sender to protect the document from unauthorised access, by requiring the recipient to verify their identity even before accessing and signing the document. Signicat Sign Portal generates signed documents in PAdES (PDF Advanced Electronic Signatures) format, making it compliant with European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) standards for digital signatures. This format is widely accepted across various industries, including for banks and insurance companies.

Not all electronic signing solutions are equal” states Asger Hattel, CEO of Signicat.Signing with a digital identity provides a significantly more secure way to sign compared with a ‘scribble on a screen’ or email-based verification. Through the Azure Marketplace, businesses get the most secure form of electronic signing across Europe, without causing additional friction for users”.

Through Microsoft Azure Marketplace, customers around the world can easily find, buy, and deploy partner solutions they can trust, all certified and optimised to run on Azure,” says Atle Spilde, Director, One Commercial Partner in Microsoft Norway. We’re happy to welcome Signicat’s solution to the growing Azure Marketplace ecosystem, and we are eager to see the innovations Signicat will do on Azure in the years to come."
