ID Austria

ID Austria is Austria's national digital identity (eID), offering secure access to over 500 online service providers. As an eIDAS-compliant solution, it supports both 'Substantial' and 'High' Levels of Assurance (LoA).

Getting ID Austria for the first time requires a one-time, in-person identity check with an official authority and activation via the 'Digitales Amt' app. It is available to Austrian citizens and foreign nationals with a link to Austria, aged 14 and over.

With ID Austria, you can securely access services on any device, including desktops, tablets and phones, enabling a variety of use cases from secure onboarding to fulfilling KYC requirements. With user consent, you can retrieve verified data including full name, address and date of birth, directly from official Austrian registers.
