Fortum selected Signicat’s secure authentication service initially in the Finnish and Swedish market, and later introduced it also in the Norwegian market. Signicat delivers secure authentication to all three countries through a single integration. As a result, Fortum Consumer Solutions’ consumer customers in Norway, Sweden and Finland can use their existing eIDs - BankID in Norway and Sweden and online banking credentials in Finland – to securely login to MyFortum self service, the Fortum mobile app or when they contact Fortum customer service.

Secure authentication as a service provides Fortum time savings as well as being a cost efficient solution, because Signicat’s secure authentication solution covers all Nordic countries through a single integration. Secure authentication based on eIDs has been positively welcomed by Fortum’s customers.
