Challenge
When designing and performing programming work related to banking services, Fjord Bank planned to support Mobile-ID and Smart-ID app – they needed to automate the signing of the agreement on the part of the bank. The dilemma was whether to design the solution themselves or search for a service provider who knows better.
Solution
While choosing partners, several criteria were essential for the organization: for the provider to be from Lithuania, to have a good knowledge of the current situation and the regulations of the Lithuanian bank regulator. There are not many such service providers in Lithuania; therefore, it was chosen to cooperate with the best-rated in the market, Dokobit by Signicat.
According to the company, after choosing partners, they promptly felt their professionalism and knowledge of the field, flexible pricing, and awareness of the start-up bank situation. Dokobit specification for integration has been developed in a highly professional manner, using state-of-the-art technology and a comprehensive testing environment to ensure quality before making changes to the production environment.
Result
Fjord Bank uses Dokobit for customer authentication using Mobile-ID and Smart-ID app. The company's private customers thus express consent to the verification of their personal data in order to obtain the best possible offer. If the customer chooses the bank service, it is possible to conclude an agreement with the bank by signing it remotely using a qualified e-signature equal to the traditional, handwritten one.
Fjord Bank also uses Dokobit services to sign a wide range of documents with its business partners: contracts, deeds of order, acceptance-transfer agreements, etc. The Dokobit portal also fulfills the company's internal needs: various employee requests, contract attachments, and more.
Having used all of Dokobit services since the very beginning of a bank, the company has seen a reduction in the cost of programming and IT maintenance. Without Dokobit, the company's internal documents would have to be signed on printed sheets, which would take a long time and be unsustainable.
