# Why are you doing this?
The current Customer Portal will soon be sunset, and we want to offer you an improved Dashboard. The move itself should be quick and simple and entail minimal hassle on your side.
# Does this amount to any changes to where my data is hosted?
All your data is still hosted on your current hosting provider.
# Is my data deleted if I am late to onboard myself to the new Dashboard?
No. Your data will not be deleted. The Customer Portal frontend will eventually be shut down, and all of your data and services will be waiting for you in the new Dashboard.
# Are all Customer Portal services available on the new Dashboard?
With the exception of the ability to view your support tickets in the Customer Portal (email support is still fully available if your price plan allows it), all current services are available.
# Is there any new functionality available?
You will be able to use the new and improved user access management tool.
# I’ve heard about this “Customer migration to our new hosting platform (GCP)”. Is this the same thing?
No. That is a parallel initiative, which you can read more about here. Your services are still hosted on their current hosting provider. However, all customers, migrated or not, are now being offered the same frontend dashboard to manage their services (although the look and feel will be different depending on whether you are migrated or not). This means that when or if you choose to migrate, you will already be in the new dashboard, and only the backend migration will be necessary.
# So I get the full benefits of migration through moving to the new Dashboard?
You are getting a better and more stable experience than with the current Customer Portal, but you will get an even better experience yet if you choose to migrate to GCP (read more here). The current initiative offers a quick and simple upgrade to the existing Customer Portal, with minimal hassle on your side. However, to access the latest developments in the Dashboard, you will still need to migrate to GCP.
However, there is no reason to wait with going to the new Dashboard until you have been migrated to GCP. We will be decommissioning the Customer Portal, and creating a new user in the new Dashboard is anyway the first step in migration.
# I’m in the new Dashboard and I see several accounts. Which one should I be using?
The one with “Enterprise” after it is the one that corresponds to the Customer Portal.
