Swedish insurance giant goes for Signicat's solutions

The Swedish insurance company AMF has chosen Signicat as its supplier of electronic identification services.

AMF has 3.8 million customers, who need a quick and easy way to access their personal information on the Internet and to electronically sign contracts, documents and statements. Their self-service solution allows AMF to become more accessible to its customers. This makes the organization more efficient and reduces costs.

– AMF continually strives to make it easier for its individual customers to get involved with their pensions. The new self-service solution means our customers can go online and use eID to easily manage some of the tasks associated with their pensions and securities funds themselves, says Robert Schuman, CIO of AMF.

The Signicat solutions come with certified plug-ins and connections for all leading platforms, which simplifies implementation and reduces costs. The AMF solution comes with Signicat Connector for .NET, certified and available in the Windows Server catalog. With this connection, AMF can implement and distribute the solution with predictable and low development costs.

The scalable solution makes it possible for AMF’s customers to identify themselves using eIDs from most major providers, both public and private. Among these are BankID, TeliaSonera and Nordea, in addition to other Northern European public eIDs. Signicat currently handles more than 14 million identities in Northern Europe.
